Creating POI alert sounds

To create a personal POI alert, do i simply convert an MP3 or WVA file to an OGG file. then place it into my sounds file on the TOMTOM, If so can anyone point me in the direction of a good FREEWARE coversion program

Have a look at Audacity It is easy to use and can export wav files to the required ogg format with ease - great aplication for this type of work - Mike
