Different problem to most I've read on here though. My screen flashes. Usually when no signal but occasionally on the road. It's usually accompanied by a quiet "popping" from the speaker, 3 times in succession. Otherwise working fine, anyone else seen anything similar?

Cheers,

Ian.

Not seen that here.
The popping sounds similar to the single pop you tend to get during a re-boot (just at the point where you've started thinking "this seems to be taking longer than usual, what's gone wrong" Laughing )

To be honest, it sounds like a faulty unit.

Cheers Andy, I've raised an RMA for a return, only had it a couple of weeks. Another way of describing it would be to imagine the battery was loose and the unit looses power for 3 fractions of a second in quick succession.... Hope I'm not gonna be another "I'm on my 5th 720 now" story....

If it's only a couple of weeks old, can't you take it back to the shop you bought it from?

It was Dixons, so online only unfortunately. Am still waiting for the returns labels to turn up though, 7-10 days apparently! They must be walking....
