|
|
Have searced the forums, but cannot find this problem.
Whenever I run TomTom Home V2 and connect my Go510 by USB,I have a message saying --
`Component Returned failure Code 0x80520012`
If I try to select back-up,the same message appears.
I have purchased the latest Western Europe maps from TomTom to download, and although they appear when TomTom checks for updates,I cannot download and install them because of these errors.
I have un-installed/re-installed Home
De-fragmented my hard drive etc. and am now stuck
Any help appreciated.
Many Thanks

Has by any chance your documents & settings/user/local settings/temp folder been set to read only? |

Are you using firefox?
If so you might want to try the following: -
The solve this failure code: 0×80520012, simply go to:-
Win XP / Win 2k
C:\Documents and Settings\ [User Name]\ Application Data\ Mozilla\ Firefox\ Profiles\ xxxxxxxx.default\
- create a folder name gm_scripts
- create a blank config.xml in gm_scripts folder
Once you create everything above, you can try to install a user script again. The problem should be solved! |

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your time in helping me.
I have sussed the problem, and hands up - it was my fault
I had set my folder preferences to save back ups etc. to a external hard drive.
Problem was, I forgot this, and didn`t turn the external hard drive on.
This must have generated the message.
Apologies for wasting your valuable time.
I now have a further problem, that I will start a new topic on,if I cannot find an answer on the forums.
Kind Regards
Colin |
