Can anyone please explain why my Go710 does not go into the night display mode when turned on in a dark room.

When in the car in the dark it does go into the night display mode.

Strange isn't it.

I have set up the appropriate menus as per the user guide.

there is a docking preference in the change settings 3rd page i think and it is in there that you will have checked the switch to night view when docked or words to that effect. Have a look and you will see it. Does this help in any way.

The base of the Devices are Pin Selective and they are different between the 2 Docks.

The Docking Preferences, in Change Preferences, is for the Car Mounted Dock.

It's assumed that you don't want auto switching when it's on the Desktop, so it stays at what you have it set to manually.

Hi Ian and Richard

Many thanks indeed for the quick replys and the explanations.

Richard I am sure you have hit the nail on the head as when in the dark room the Go710 was using its internal battery for power.
