Is the TT 720TMC reliable?

Hi,

I'm interested in the TT720 T with TMC. I was wondering if this is a reliable unit. I heard that there are/were a lot of problems with the TMC and bugs in the system software 7.

Is this still the case?

The 720 is a decent bit of kit, there have been users experiancing problems with the hands free side and a couple of other silly little bugs in the software but nothing too serious. I am very happy with my 720 I have had the handsfree go haywire once, but this could be down to what I was doing with the device at the time.
The RDS-TMC device is much improved and works for large areas of the country, there are still regions devoid of coverage though. With the reception issues mostly resolved the next one that needs addressing is the quality of the data the device receives, it is not bad but I simply don't trust it to automatically re-route a trip, if the advice from the RDS coresponds to the motorway gantry signs then I let it re-route, otherwise I take a chance and often ignore it - Mike

I might be tempted to go for this new TMC aerial, where can I get it and how much is it please?
