Ok Ladies and Gentlemen can anyone give me an idiots guide on how to set up way points and stops on a tomtom one please ?
I am going to take my kids around the isle of wight to all the best xmas decorated houses and someone on the island is going put all the post codes of the best houses on a web site so if say the post codes were 1; PO30 1EW 2; PO30 5FB 3; PO30 6FD 4; PO31 8ES and so on how would I input this into my device so I could drive to each one in order and once arrived go to the next one....I know its probably a dumb question but then Its coming from a dumb person.
Thanks
Pete

Excellent guides Baz, well written. I think you should consider adding a small note to the POPI guide though about PocketGPSWorld and POIEdit, the site no longer supports using POIEdit to download POI files - Mike

The guides are very good Baz and I like your web site too. It's in my favourites.
The microsoft autoroute is tempting but at £49 its a bit expensive for a tight wad like me. Is there a cheaper alternative to this ?
Again many thanks for the info .

Have a look at using Google Earth and an application called "Tyre" which can be found TYRE this can be used to pull routes from Google into the itn format for the device - Mike

Thanks for that Mike, much appreciated. I have added a note as suggested and have uploaded to replace the existing one.
