Backup Sony NV-U92TW

Hi,

I've got a nv-u92tw. I really like the unit although the mapping is a bit dated.

I'd like to back it up so that I could restore it if something should go wrong. Sony's customer support say this can be done using the included software. I take it they mean 'activsync'. Well the 'backup/restore' option doesn't appear to do it as its too quick and the file it produces is tiny.

I tried to copy the 'sony' folder. This seems to try to copy the folder but it never seems to work. It looks like it copies a load of files and then starts on a file called 'Europe_70a' (or something like that). It says its 'copying and converting'. It sits like that for ages but does nothing. It then either times out or I cancel it.

Has anyone here backed up their device?
