Hi all,

I've got myself one of those 720's after being very happy with a 500 for the last 18 or so months. It's just taken TT support 4 weeks to transfer the new device code to my plus account and I can now access traffic etc. I have a Samsung D900 on an Orange contract

Now here is the problem when ever I access traffic I get the information downloaded to the 720 and then a message pops up saying is 'no answer from the mobile phone, please check the mobile phone' and then of course no more downloads. Mad

I am sure it's not the mobile as all I have to do is switch off the 720, switch it back on again and I can get another download before the message is displayed again. The other thing, it’s worked fine on the 500 since getting the phone last January.

I've tried a reset.
I've deleting the phone and reconnected it.

Anybody else having this problem??

More importantly, anybody else had this problem and fixed it Question

Hopefully
Mike.

Hi Michael

I use a 720 with my Sony Ericsson K800i. Although not a supported phone it appears to work ok accept when the phones GPRS signal is lost. I then get the same message as you.

It might just be that your GPRS signal is not as constant as you would like.

I get the same thing with my Nokia N95. But it's the phone I have to restart... I think it is the phones fault though because it has other annoying quirks since the last N95 update like not starting if you switch it off while charging... (Until you remove the battery).

Don't know if this will help but I had the same problem.

When the phone is 'open' I get the message "Connect to tomtom520?" This only stays for a short time so you have to watch the phone. Press 'yes' and all then seems fine.
