Red X blinking in right corner of Tom Tom one v2

Hello!

i have tom tom one v2. I tried to update my GPS device but it went unsuccessful. It is not even loading anymore. I get a red blinking X in the right corner whenever I switch the unit on. the worst thin is that I don't have back up of the GPS contents.

Also, the computer prompts me to format the unit, since it cannot open up the GPS folder. I say no since everything in my GPS will be lost.

Any possible suggestions or solution?
