How do you turn off speed camera alerts on TT1XL?

Does anyone know if you can turn off the really annoying speed camera alert sound? I was driving down the M42 last night and as some of you might know there are speed cameras every 100 yards so the sound goes off every 5 seconds!! I eventually turned off the sound altoghter.

Are you using the TomTom supplied database on the device or the database from this web site, there is a big difference in the way you can configure the warnings when using the database from this site, for the TomTom supplied one there iis one simple option which is to remove the files from the device.Back it up fully to the PC then have a look at the FAQ page in the sticky threads at the top of this forum section, have a read of number 13 - Mike
