Hi all,

I had been running TomTom 5 on my PDA in the car for a while but now fed up of the cables and other issues so thought i'd get one of the all-in units. Dont need anything fancy so looked at TomTom one and the Garmin Nuvi 200. On recommendation, i went for the Garmin as its meant to be more reliable.
Having tried it i now have an issue with it. When i upload POI, i can navigate to them but not have them displayed on the screen.
To clarify this, on my TomTom, as i drove along i could see when say a Sainsbury's was on my route as there was an Icon on the screen. From what i can see, theres no way of doing this with the Garmin so its staring to seem a little unflexible compared with TomTom.

The other issue is that i cant find a way to show estimated time to destination on the display.

I'm reluctant to go for the basic TomTom as there are so many reported issues with it so could anyone help me to like this Garmin and solve my slight problem.

Cheers

paul

Welcome.
All the POI symbols show up but you have to zoom in quite close before they appear.
The estimated arrival time should show up on the bottom left of your map screen when your navigating, if you press on it you get more info. Also if you press on the coloured bar across the top of the navigation screen you get the route info, if you then press on one of the instructions you get a split screen.
