Garmin I 3 v9 update problem

Hi,
I am trying to update the maps to europe nt v9. I have put the unlock
code in and it says all is ok. On the view unlock codes, it says City Navigator Europe V9.

When i try to update my unit though it tells me that non of the maps have been unlocked.

any ideas ?

Is the unlock code the one that came with the i3 or one you bought from Garmin?

Infact when I try and reinstall my old version 8 it does the same thing when I use my old unlock code ???
