I heard that it's possible to record my own voice and have my Tom Tom use it for direction announcements. Is it possible? Anyone know how to do it?

That link goes to doing your own camera warnings. If you are after doing your own navigation instructions, I've seen it somewhere, but it's a fairly daunting business - a great number of separate word phrases and file names to record. I read where one guy got his son to record such as "Turn Left, Daddy" and so forth. I think I also read the new 520/720 has an option to record your own and gives a list of all the separate commands to be recorded.

I think this is the link you want:
The Ultimate Guide to Creating Custom TomTom Voice files
This will work for ANY TomTom model.

Or, as Dennis says, Navcore 7 software on the new models will have a similar feature built in:

Now THIS is why I sit back and enviously "wonder" when Andy posts. Clap Not Worthy Not Worthy I know he has lists, but I have to wonder how big the list is and how he finds the stuff on it. Question I have to wonder how I could steal it from him too. Twisted Evil

PS This is not to detract from all the others who also have lists, by the way. I suppose it's just a self-condemnation for not having lists myself!
