just "inherited" a GO910 which the previous owner apply 12 V directly. Have unit open and found a burnt chip on board. Is there any one who can help identify the toasted part? have a couple of pictures of the board but don't have a server to post them to.

With an e-mail address ending .ca the chances are the postal charges will be too high for a London based repair, e-mial me the pictures and I will attach them to this thread, you should be able to see my e-mail address from the button below the post - Mike

I suppose that's the purpose of the Location field in the Profile?

The location field is a help if everyone were to use it, as not everyone can view a persons e-mail address, the offer still appls though send the picture to my e-mail (which is available via the button below) and I wil tag it to this thread - Mike
