Map update Tom Tom Go 300

Hi

My Tom Tom Go 300 is 21 months old now and the map is well out of date. Tom Tom have just sent me an email informing me of a 20% discount on downloadable maps. I am only after the UK map and being the tight person I am, still feel reluctant to spend 48 Euros for a new one. Does the technology mean that I have to plump for tomtom for the update and if so, is this the cheapest option?

You can purchase the map from other approved vendors but I doubt you will find it cheaper than the currect 20% off deal they are doing at the moment. As you say your current map is way out of date, if you feel its time to update the map then it will cost money £30 (ish) isn't a great deal these days - Mike

Or you could wait a while and get the next release of maps which may(or may not) be better than the current ones.
