|
|
I have just got this phone and I am totally new to this type of hardware. I have CoPilot set up as the software, but my biggest problem is I don't seem to be able to get a GPS signal. The XDA has a built in GPS but I can't locate any satellites. Does anyone one on here know about the workings of the XDA ? Do I need to set anything else up to get a signal ? To be honest the manuals that came with the phone are not much use in solving problems.
I'd be grateful for any help. |

Yes, I updated the GPS over the internet, with Activsync. The phone is unlocked and I am using my Vodafone SIM card on it. Which works without any problems. Just looking at what you were saying about data. I don't think my SIM card is set up for data. Does it need data setting up in order for the GPS system to work ? As I say, I am new to this sort of hardware and I am finding my way with it. Thanks for the reply tho' |

start copilot and tap the menu on the screen.
from the menu select options
from the next menu select GPS
tap the button that says setup GPS
select other then next
make sure the circle next to manual has a black dot in it
just below there is a box that says com port and below that baud rate
com port should say COM4
and baud rate should say 9600
if not select the above settings from the drop down menus
tap next
you should now get a message saying that the
GPS connection configured successfully. select Finish button to contunie using co pilot select finish thins may say next but select the button in the bottom right hand corner of the screen
now now select gps status and you should see displaying information such as lat/long _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .
