Navman ICN 550 TeleAtlas Update problem

I am desperately trying to update my Navman 550 ICN with the Teleatlas CD's which I have acquired. (I paid 650 euros for this cr*ppy thing only to see it halve in price 3 months later)

When I run the SmartSTDesktop and look at the removable media, it doesn't even show the CD Rom drive.

Has anyone experienced this ?

Has anyone actually managed to update their Navman 550 with the Teleatlas CD's ?

Has there ever been an update for the iCN550? If not, those CDs you acquired will make great coasters as they won't work.
