The TTs tend to have MacDonalds listed under the restaurants POI - is this what you want?
Or are you after a bigger/better/more up to date list?

What problem are you having with the MacDonalds from this site?
It works on my TomTom. If there is a problem tell us where you get stuck and we'll try to get it going for you.

Right.
You don't need to rename it.
You don't say how good you are with computers, but you have to UnZip the File that you downloaded. This will give several Files, of which the 2 that are the most important are OV2 and BMP Files.
Can you get that far?
