euro map tom tom one v1

i have a tom tom oen v1 and i would like to put euro map on it how easy is this and is they a better olace to get it.i got this 2nd hand and only have the car plug in lead so can i put the card in my pc reader and do it from they many thanks

You can certainly put the European maps onto a ONE UK, but you will need a bigger SD card.
As far as I know, the latest versions are still only available by download from the TomTom website.

To download and install them on your One, you need TomTom's "Home" software (which you can also download from their site, this time for free), and *I think* you will need to connect up the One itself to your PC to install the map (rather than using a card reader), so you'll need a standard "big to small" USB cable too.
(I could be wrong on that last point though - most other things can be done by putting the SD card in a reader).

If you put the SD Card into a Card Reader you just use Change Device on the Menu Bar. If the Card is blank it will give a selection of drives.

Just follow the menus that pop up and load the application first.

It would be easier if you had the the mini USB Cable but it can be done.
