I have been driving around today ( for work ) and at places that I want to keep as POI's on my F20 I have made a note of the Lat. and Long. as displayed on my F20.
How do I then change these Lats. and Longs. into CSV files ?
I am assuming it is CSV files I will need ? ( I don't know for sure )
How do I then collate these CSV files into one POI group and upload onto my F20 ?
I don't really know if what I want to do is even possible with a Navman F20 ! ?
If it is possible , is it very hard to do ? ( as I am a bit of a novice at all of this )
Any help anyone can give me is much needed and very appreciated !!!

It's really easy to do. The format you need is

Code:
Longitude, Latitude, "Name"

eg -0.1243, 51.4872, "MI5"

For east of Greenwich, Long is +ve, for west it is -ve. Similarly, north of the equator is +ve, south is -ve.You don't need to use the + sign, though, just the - one where required.

You can make these files using Notepad, then save as 'All file types' and call it whatever.csv. The Navman Desktop will only use the first eight characters, plus the .csv extension.

I had a look on the POI-Sync section and saw an EXCELLENT guide as to how to make your own POI's plus how to make your own bmp icons too.
Absolutely brilliant , step by step , even an idiot could do it and I did !!

I think I will have a go at making a better icon later on , but for now I am a happy bunny !!!

I love this forum !!!
