GPSlim 236, iPaq 3715 and TT5

I recently picked up a used (but mint) GPSlim 236 to go with my iPaq 3715 and TT5.

After figuring out that the battery DOES charge, despite the indications to the contrary (LEDs not doing what the book said they should) I tried in vain to get it to work with the Ipaq and TT5. No amount of fiddling with bluetooth and GPS confiuration settings would work - the BT manager would see the outgoing connection but not incoming.

However, after a look through this forum and reading the threads posted here, I tried configuring the GPS in TT5 not as a bluetooth device but as a cable NMEA receiver and bingo - it works straight off. Quite why it has to be configured as a cable device when it is quite clearly Bluetooth is beyond me - but it works.

My thanks to all who posted and made helpful suggestions (on other threads). Once again, the wisdom of searching through this forum for inspiration has been proven.
