|
|
I'm struggling to get TT6 running on my aged iPaQ3850 and Navman SE sleeve.
TT5 runs fine (with add on Holux antenna).
I'm running CE3.0 op system, which from a search here i know isn't good enough
So.... what OS do i need, and where can i get a copy - i tried microsoft website for the CE4.2 upgrade but this is no longer available.
Any advice much appreciated. :D :D |

if its running pocketpc 2002 tt6 wont run you will either need to update it to ppc2003 or higher to get tt6 to run or you will have to stick with tt5 and just update the maps have put the driver for the navman sleave on to the ipaq _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .
Oh the joys of being a courier.

I don't recall if there ever was a 2003 Upgrade for your PPC. However if there was and HP no longer offer it then eBay is your only option.
Personally, if you can't source it legitimately because the manufacturer no longer offers it then I see no problem in buying a copy off eBay. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks - i've managed to source a pocket 2003 upgrade via ebay - no idea about its authenticity, an a bit concerned about it deleting asset codes from what i discovered elsewhere on the forum, but i'll give it a go |

Got it sorted - i found a thread on www.gpspassion.com which although i don;t understand what i've done, it did sort the problem for me by amending the tomtom.exe file to run in windows ce3.0.
this is the thread..

you need to scroll down to the long post halfway down the thread - i downloaded the executabilityedit software and ran it as instructed in the thread. It didn;t find the tomtom.exe file in the navigator folder for some reason, so i copied the file to another area where it could be found - altered it and then put back into navigator folder as originally installed - the icon in palmtop windows explorer changed from a program box icon to the tomtom hands icon when the exe was modded to suit my OS.
