I use an Apple MacBook with Windows XP installed and I want to install the Garmin POI updates. I have only a very, very basic understanding of the windows system of working.
I have down loaded the updater and installed that.
I have downloaded the beta and other POI files but .....when I use the wizard thing to install them on the sat nav, I have to browse to a location to find a .cvs or gpx extension and I cannot find anything like this ! The download was OK and a series of files and icons are in Cdrive (?) labelled Garmin but don't have this .cvs or gpx thing.
So, in simple terms, what do I have to do to update the sat nav ?

Thanks

Brian

I am Mac-illiterate but believe that file extensions (the .csv and .gpx bits are turned off on Macs.

Check your help files on th eMac to find out how to turn on file extensions and then you should be able to see the requird files.

JBL47 - have you extracted the files from the downloaded zip file? you need to right click the zip file and 'extract files' as opposed to just double clicking them

hope this is of some help
