Hi all
i have a tomtom one(western europe) and a tomtom go(dont ask) i used the one when i visited france and put in some key locations as POI.s in my "customers"file. can i copy this to my "customers" file on the Go and vice versa as the poi file is just a .dat - how to add to this?

Hi,

I am confused - not difficult. Are you sure that the customer file you have created ends in .dat because the ones I have created end in .ov2?

I was going to suggest you download POIEdit from HERE

This is an excellent piece of software for editing poi files

Regards

Hi
sorry - you are quite correct - i misread the file.im wondering if i could just rename one file as "customers2" and then copy it into the map folder - it might be easier.
cheers

Oui.

Make sure you copy the .ov2 and .bmp file as well. And, if you are changing the name then make sure that they have exactly the same file name. "Et Bob est votre oncle"

But also do try POIEdit - it is quite easy to use and is very useful when playing with pois or setting up your own.

Bon chance

Just to add (as it has caused some other people difficulty), if you use POI Edit to merge your POI files together, you open up the first one with File / Open as you'd expect, and then you add the other ones with File / Append.
It's easy once you know that bit! :D
