nav 6 htc 3300 no spaces in navigate to?

Trying to enter a town on naviagte to and it wont let me enter a space between the first and second word at all.

Its flashing to show that the button has been pressed but no space is appearing. have abcd and qwerty layouts so its not a screen issue.

any ideas as tomtom dont have a clue as usual.

What town name are you trying to enter? - if I enter Knott End the device correctly finds the place and allows the space to be entered. It could be the actual place you are entering isn't spelt exactly the way you are entering it there might be a dash between the two parts. Let me know what you are entering and I will try it on my 3300 - Mike

Its a customer of mine says he's tried it on lots of combinations it just wont let him enter a space. Tomtom havent been able to help him funnily enough and I cant think of anything that would cause it either.
