I am running TT2 on Toshiba e330, My PDA does not seem to retain its charge overnight even when not connected etc. I am leaving the SD card in place.
When i turn it off could there be something running in background?
Should the SD card be removed when PDA is not in use?
How long should the PDA keep its charge when not in use?

Thanks

How old is the PDA? A healthy battery should be expected to maintain sufficient charge to keep data intact on standby for 4 or more days easily. It sounds like you're battery has either failed or reached end of life and requires replacing.

What happens when you leave it overnight? If it resets having been fully charged less than 24hrs before then I'd get it replaced under warranty.

I'd agree with Darren, noting that it is probably worth trying a soft reset if you haven't done so already. It's possible that there's something running in the background that's draining the battery. A soft reset is the same as rebooting a PC, and should stop any such problem. It may also have the side effect of resetting something in the Pocket PC's power management system that could be causing the problem.

Hopefully a Toshiba owner can give you the right procedure for a soft reset if you don't already know it. Usually it's pressing a reset button somewhere without touching anything else (the various tricky button combinations are used for a hard reset, which are made deliberately tricky as a hard reset wipes the Pocket PC's RAM clean, returning it pretty much to the state you received it in).
