forgive my ignorance but i have a tom tom go 500 purchased new in october 06 and it doesnt have roads and postcodes that were built 3 years ago. do you have to buy updated maps or will it be updated from the tomtom program/internet.

C'mon, give him a break it was just as easy to tell him the answer as to shove him off.
October 06? Whoever sold it to you was getting rid of old stock so I hope it was cheap! I assume you didn't get a voucher in the box promising you a free new map when they are updated? New maps were released on 28th November and if yours isn't up to date and you haven't got a voucher, it'll cost you. You can buy them from Tom Tom website. Now you can follow trog's advice and find all the discussion about new maps (same stories whether TT GO500, GO510, or TT ONE). _________________ Dennis

yes it was being sold off VERY cheep compared to a couple of months earlier. but it didnt have a voucher in so yes it will cost me by the looks. thanks for your help |
