I use my GPSMap60csx for road navigation successfuly within GB using Mapsource, but I can't seem to find a similar map for France.
We are driving to the Portes du Soleil region in France for skiing and I would like to be able to use it to guide me in to our accommodation. Is there a suitable map/card available?
Thanks |

What MapSource software are you using? If you have the CD/DVD it should include all of Europe. If you have pre-loaded SD cards then you must buy the French SD card.
CitySelect Europe/CityNavigator Europe/MetroGuide Europe all have very detailed maps of France [almost door to door] |

I'm using Topo GB mainly for walking and cycling but have found the street routing really useful.
Not sure why I couldn't suss out what I needed - don't find the Garmin website particularly good as far as software is concerned.
Thanks for your help, I think the Metroguide Europe will be on the shopping list. |

Having been in the Cluses area and Grand Bonand [caravanning]I found the detail for driving excellent!
The detail in Morzine is down to street level with some of the bigger Hotels marked.
If you want a screenshot of a particular area send a Private message with your email address and location of your hotel.
MetroGuide Europe v8 is often available on eBay for about £40. It will need 'manipulating' to get autorouting and indexing on the unit! |
