House number problems on TomTom V2

I've just upgraded to the latest TomTom One V2 Western Europe, but trying to put in some of my regularly used addresses has had mixed results.
On two occasions, the house numbers I have entered have not been recognised and the unit asks me to select a number between two values - nowhere near the house number I want.
These addresses were recognised in my TomTom One V1 - why do you suppose that they are not recognised with the latest maps/software?
