Anybody got a 660 that can tell me please, when you charge from the mains does it make a low crackly noise, mine does. Should it go back to Halfords?
.
Thanks

Did you buy it from Halfords?

Seriously, is it the mains unit or the Sat-Nav making the noise. Actually, either way, it don't sound good. Power supplies can, in theory, make a very faint (virtually inaudible) hum at mains frequency. Modern ones use electronics to reduce the voltage, not enormous, heavy, iron-cored transformers - and they could hum. Is it getting warm? Smoking? Melting?
Take it back, quick!

Thanks for reply..
Its coming from the Sat-Nav itself. It dosnt appear to be getting warm.
Whilst I was just updating safety cams the whole unit has now packed up. When I switch on, it just says Loading Maps and thats it. Same if I plug it into the USB port. The USB appears not to reconise it at all now.
If I try it on its own it keeps switching itself off after about 30 secs.
I've tried re-setting several times and same thing happens.
Halfords here I come.
