UNKNOWN ICONS on tomtom 510

Can anybody shed some light onto the small icon that appears whewn I drag my screen on my tomtom 510.

It is a small box divided vertically into 2 parts (not quite halves, the left one is slightly smaller). The left part of the box has a little red cross in, the right side has a number(which seems to be generated randomly IMHO).

I'm not sure what they are, or why they disappear after about 10 seconds.

can you please post a screenshot? To do screenshots, create a folder "screen" on the sd card and place an empty file named "capture" in there.

In the program press the top left corner of the screen (where the + sign is) when you see that symbol.
