Can we do anything about stopping them using it? and can they do anything with information like her home address on it? I'm worried about if they will come after her car now.

I wouldn't worry about her home address etc, as they already know it because they have already 'visited' her.

Sorry to hear about it though, it's not very nice.

I'm just worried that they may go and try and get the car.

Only really a worry if they know which one is her car or if they have a copy of the keys and / or vehicle documents. Otherwise her car is as much at risk of theft as any other.

I think I remember hearing that if they have an address on a sat nav they can use it for some other crime.

Nothing i can think of. I suppose that if you are away on holiday in Glasgow and they get your Sat Nav and your Sat Nav shows home as London then they might guess the house is empty for a few days, but i can't see someone bothering to travel distance on the chance it MIGHT be empty. All they know is her address, but you can get that walking past any house. An address on Sat Nav is not a proof of identity so the information is of limited use.

Thanyou, but this was her student accom that was broken into and her home address was on the tom tom.

Ahh my mistake.

But it's a warning to others who might be tempted to put thier home location on to thier devices.

Put a junction or something, never put your full postal address.
