Hi,
I have just updated to Version 6.520 on a 710, and now when i turn off the unit i have a briefcase showing a TOMTOM being put in and in the bottom right corner i have a "X" (cross) over a MAN with a bag over this shoulder???
Any idea what that is???

Rickt,
Its meant to remind you to loack the TomTom away so that no one nicks it.
It can be changed, look for threads about splash screens.

briefcase is yours.. man with bag over his shoulder is potential thief.. think about it.. he he
nah.. what it really means is always leave your device in your car in a bag with a clearly maked X on it to show the possible thief (who is familar with tomtoms new shutdown screen) where you have left it so as to make his job easier.. he he

It's actually called suspend.bmp and is the Exit Version of the Startup splash.bmp

yeah thought it was that... however before it took only a couple of seconds to turn off.. its now leaves this screen on for a good 8 seconds ish...

Damn that no "Edit" facility!
I meant to go on to say...
you could try removing or renaming the "suspend.bmp" file. It certainly wouldn't show anymore, and may well speed up the shutdown. |
