I got this from another post.

I use the default COM4 with my A701 with no problems.
Start/Settings/GPSSettings
There is a forum dedicated to the MIO A701, you'll finds lots of information there. |

I have just set up 20 of them for my company, but installed Tom Tom 5. This used "other GPS", baud rate 58400, and gps_hwcom. Takes a while for the signal to be found, and before it does the display says "no valid GPS found" or something like that. But after that it works fine. |
