Hi,
I drive a Skoda Fabia Vrs. Brilliant car but the power socket is located behind the handbrake, quite well back from the dashboard. I want to buy a new TT One v2 but am bothered about the length of the supplied power cable. I'm guessing they are relatively short and just want to know from anyone who owns one, if you can tell me the exact length? Couldn't spot anything on the TT website.
Thanks
Graeme

Hi Grame

Yes, brilliant car.
Got the same problem on ours.
Presently using an socket extension lead which is a pain as it gets tangled up with handbrake and gear lever.
Im going to get a spare socket and just wire it in with the existing one and mount it in the console just in front of the gear lever.

Cheers Brian
I applaud your ingenuity and imagination though I really don't want to mess about with new sockets. I'm technically inadequate when it comes to cars. Computers and I'm your man. Cars and I have to ask the garage to pump up the tyres (well a slight exaggeration)
Totally off topic, don't you just love it at traffic lights when some prat in an Audi in the next lane thinks, "A Skoda Fabia - what a pile of crap..." and you then put your foot on the accelerator (at green of course) and the look on his face as you just tear away. Fantastic feeling. Just a brilliant car.
Still, you can't mount a GPS easily which I suppose you can with the Audi, even though he’s still wondering why you are but a spec in the distance . At least he can find where he’s going ':D'

Good luck with the conversion

Graeme

Cig lighter extension leads are cheap and simple to install, you can keep the leads from fouling the gear lever etc by suitable application of sticky tape!
