one solution to starting tom tom one after flat battery

This morning found battery on my tom tom one had gone flat. After charging for a hour or so unit on turning on would not go past start up bmp, even left unit on for around 30 mins on start up screen while I looked around the forums for help. I tried resetting with paper clip (the only way I could turn the unit off) even tried original sd card with no luck. I then connected tom tom to computer, tom tom home page just keeped on telling me to connect tom tom, I then reset with paper clip whilst tom tom was connected to computer now I was in luck all that seemed to be stopping the tom tom from working was for it to be told that its current position was home. Checked card for any corrupted files all ok. Tom tom now working as it should.

Thats what i have to do right faff on though especially if your out somewhere and you turn tom tom on just to see the splash screen and no directions ill try putting a full charge into mine and see if it does anything otherwise its back to dixons
