I'm just about to purchase TT Navigator 6 Bluetooth for use with my O2 XDA
Exec. I already have a 2Gb SD card installed on my PDA - will I just be able
to copy the TT application and maps over to my own SD card?

Anyone have any tips for getting the best from the TT Navigator package?

Thanks

Neil

use a card reader and backup the original card to your HDD.

make sure you have hidden files and folders enabled to ensure you get all the files.

Thanks gpsn3wbie

I have an SD slot on my laptop. Do you mean that I should backup all the files from the SD card that comes with the TT package to the HDD on my laptop and then insert my 2Gb card into the slot and restore the TT files onto that?

Yes, copy ALL the files from the TT card and paste them onto your own card.

Put them in the "root" of the SD card when you copy them back.

Thanks guys, that's all working.

Pasting the tomtom files to the root folder of my sd card has made it a little untidy, but I can live with that.

I found that every time I did a soft reset, tomtom would boot automatically. TT support told me to delete a folder called 2577 in the root folder of my SD card, this solved the problem.

First impressions of TT6 on the XDA Exec are really good. I'm also using a programme called GPS Tuner for off road stuff like geocaching and walking, and that's good too.

you could have left the 2577 folder there and just got rid of the autorun with in the file as the 2577 folder contains the .cab files aswell usually so it would be easy to install if you again if you had a ppc2003/2003se machine

Removing the 2577 folder tidied up the root folder of my SD card and saved a bit of storage space. I still have a copy of the 2577 folder on my pc hard disk and on the TT install miniSD
