Haicom outside car on roof??

I have an 2210 and a 204s GPS which should be waterproof. But I never really believed this kind of things.. But inside my car in Holland the signals are too weak. It takes up to 15 minutes to get a good locking signal (reciever on dashboard near a normal car window without heating of antenna). It finds between 3 and 5 sats, but not locking it.

Outside the car on the roof it takes about 15 seconds. The number of sats is betweet 5 and 8, so this thing works great on the roof...

But what do you think of electronics in the rain?????

In Holland it rains almost on a daily base this year...

If you want you can use some silicon caulking to make sure the receiver is really waterproof.
