Hi All. I'm a new Tom Tom one user. (GB regional)

I'm have problems with Tom Tom one V2 and TT home V1.3 app on my PC.

I can't get Home to switch on the one so I can set things like user passwords.

Has anybody else had the same problem (Windows XP) ??

I also seen to have a problem with POI's

- Nearest Police station is 260 mile away! (In ireland - very convenient!)
- Petrol stations in my area are either on the wrong side of the street, wrong road.
- swimming pools

I haven't tried any others

Grateful for any feedback

Josh, THIS Post might have a few answers as to why you cannot fully use the TTOne V2 via the Home application (See the response from shauneco to be specific) - it would appear you need an update, that as yet is not available, as for the POI's you might need to load up some additional custom POI's for your area (if they exist - Ireland isn't too well covered at the moment, lets face it they have only recently released maps with anything like detail on them) - Mike

And even the POI's that you load in from this site wont be 100% accuratly sited. ALL satnav's that have inbuilt POI's arnt that accurate. Any petrol station POI that I pass are always a couple of hundred yards out, chances are they are loaded by postcode by the makers/mappers and postcodes are only accurate to a couple of hundred meters at the best of times. OP wasnt asking for POI's in Ireland, was just commenting that the nearest POI for a plod station was in Ireland rather than in his town.

Tomo, what you say is true, I should have read the OP more closely Embarassed however the main issue is the lack of Home connectivity - as for local POI's the only sure fire method is to create your own, local knowledge offers the best in terms of accuracy, possibly then by adding these to another database to increase its usability for what you want to do - Mike

Thats because the standard list of POIs only cover some countries - no police stations for UK for example. We live in Kent and when I look up "dentist" for example on the wife's TT500 the nearest one is in France (or is it Belgium - one of the two).
