Buying a Tom Tom 910?

Please can anyone give me some advice on buying a Tom Tom 910?
If I'm from the UK do I have to buy a TT 910 that is manufactured for the UK ? or is it possible to buy it cheaper from another country and not have any problems?
The only difference in my uneducated thoughts would be that the home charger wouldn't have a UK plug on it..are there any other differences and would it still be under warranty?
Are there any problems buying it from Hong Kong does anyone know.
I'm totally not a techy person and want it to drive in the UK and in the US occasionally so don't really want to spend lots of money on something I won't use everyday.

The largest issue you will encounter by purchasing abroad is waranty, for peace of mind I would recommend a UK supplier for this device (assuming you are UK based) - its a decent device, if you need the USA maps as well as Europe (there are plenty more bells and whistles, the Text To Speach is well worth the additional premium IMHO, let alone the mp3 player), if all you need is Europe look at the 710, for UK based navigation the 510 is fine, you can allways add USA maps to the unit later if you want to (this only applys to the 510/ 710 units) but the 910 is probably the more cost effective solution if you travel over the pond frequently - Mike
