as above, i'm getting my 'Orange' SPV M600 PDA tomorrow.

At the moment I'm using my Compaq Ipaq 3850 with a plug in sat receiver with tom tom 5 loaded into the main memory and using the SD card with the maps etc.

What I plan to do is to load the tom tom into the M600 as well, use the ipaq with the plug in receiver for work and use the M600 in my own car with a 2nd receiver. (carrying the SD card with me)

Firstly, will tomtom 5 work on the M600 ?

secondly what's the cheapest easiest way to get the 2nd receiver, I'm thinking about a bluetooth gps but which is good for a budget up to £50 or are sleeves better (if they do one for an M600)

Hope you lot can help on either of these queries.

Welcome to the forum, firstly your license only permits you to use the TomTom on a single device, you can transfer the software from one device to another but not use it on two units at the same time.

TomTom will work on your new device but make sure you load TTN vs5,21 its available for free download from www.tomtom.com

As for a GPS unit you will have to use a Bluetooth device with the new phone, a wired unit simply will not work, you certainly will not find a sleave device that will work with this unit - Mike

Cheers Mike, I knew there'd be someone out there who could help me, thanks for the advice, I'll start hunting for a bluetooth device now, any starters as to which are good/bad?

Have a look at devices that are fitted with a SiRF-III chipset, they are far more sensitive than earlier units but work so much better. I use a couple of Holux GPSlim236 units, never let me down yet and over 8 hours from a single charge.
Others to consider are GlobalSat, TomTom, I-Blue etc - Mike

I'm almost certain that it does, a couple of friends have it it running on an M500 and M3100 which both run the same Windows Mobile 5 and 320x240 screen resolution.

You can get a SiRF III Bluetooth Holux 236 from Nav4all for £50 which is a bargin, check out this post..

Good luck!
