TomTom won't reinstall after Ipaq died - Help!

I've got an Ipaq 2210 which I've been running TomTom Navigator on for the last year. I've recently moved house and with everything in boxes, I've not been able to charge my Ipaq. The result is that both the batteries died (even the back up) and I've lost all settings and data. I assume it's now effectively back to factory set up, but TomTom won't install when I insert the SD card. I've tried copying my back up to another SD card and inserting that, but nothing happens with that either.

Can anyone help before I list them both on Ebay and get a standard TomTom system for my car??

You can download the latest TomTom version from their website (right nowq 5.21) and re-install that. It may also ask you for the activation code, make sure to have that handy.
