I have recently purchased the Navman 550 from Handtec and their special offer was for your database download which they say is free until February. I cannot find any way to activate this other than paying a subscription can you help. Have Handtec made a blunder. |

Hi GrannyIris, I think February WAS when the database stopped being free, so yes the database is free till february, and that was six months ago. If I am right, why not pay £2 and try it. If you report a NEW fixed camera, and you are the first one to report it,you get free lifetime membership. The "How to" camera guides are on the left of the page if you decide to use the database. _________________ Audi A3 Sline sat nav |

Grannyiris,
if you purchased your sat nav after February 2006 then Handtec were clearly misleading you. As tanda says it was free to all (not just Handtec customers) until then. To say that it was free till February when you were buying after February 2006 would obviously make you think, as you did, that they meant the following February.
If that is the case then I suggest you should have a go at Handtec about it. _________________ Peter
