Hi,

Up until thursday a week ago I didn't know I needed a GPS. Then I found one whilst routing cables under my sisters desk at work. It had been there at least 6 years.
Since sister has gone on to bigger and better Garmin products, she said I could have the one I found. It's a Garmin eMap.
After cleaning off the 6 years accumilation of dust and mouse poops, I have found that it works a treat. It has a nice large screen that shows the map, current speed heading, etc. I've gotten a power cable and a data cable off Ebay. I've since updated the bios from the Garmin site along with downloading a copy of the instructions. I still have questions that I would love answered.
I have called Garmin but I couldn't wait an "estimated" 30 minutes on hold. I have searched Google. I have searched this forum as well, no luck.
So, here are my questions:
What's the biggest data card my eMap will recognize? My book says 128 meg but did the bios upgrade change that? Can I use the lastest map data from Garmin or was/is there a cutoff point? Can I use the Topo maps on my eMap?

Any helpful suggestions, answers and such will be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, don't be bashful about helping yourselves to the cigars and scotch I've laid out as sort of an icebreaker. There's plenty more of both in bunker 4K.
