Guys and Gals,

Firstly....apologies if this is in the wrong forum.

Secondly....

I have a O2 XDA II Exec mobile phone with tomtom5 satnav software installed.

I have recently bought the RoyalTek BT GPS X-Mini reciever

In the box you get a CD which enables you to install onto the phone a demo of GPS which basically allows you to see if your GPS is working. It is.

I have setup my bluetooth connection on my phone on com0 (outgoing) and com4 (incoming)

However, when i try to use my tomtom .... it doesnt find the receiver and i have tried alsorts. I have tried the tomtom connection and the "Other Cable NMEA GPS" connection ... in fact, I have tried them all... without success.

Would someone help me with this please...Am i doing something fundamentally wrong ?

Very frustrating as i expected it to work pretty much straight away after setting my bluetooth connection. (yes it is a bluetooth receiver)

Please help !!!! 8O

Have you set up and out going com port? when you configure the Bluetooth on the Exec you will notice along the bottom of the screen in Bluetooth/ settings is a com port tab, select this then is your GPS listed on this screen?
If not select New Outgoing Port, on the next screen select the GPS unit then assign a com port (I use COM0) then press finish - without this extra step (extra relative to a WM2003SE device that is) your BT GPS will not be seen by the software - Mike
