how to install maps on tomtom 5

hi i have pna 175 i have got tomtom 5 on it but i aint got any maps on it how do i get maps of great britain on it i had the problem with voices but done them but cant get a map can some help me on doing this please thanx

yes i have the original card in it and copy the voices i have into the tomtom file thanx for a quick responce

Put the Installation CD in your Desktop and choose Add maps. You will then be able to add all the maps you require from the other CD's.

i do that and it just shows a map of benelux but the cd i got has a seperate file of great brition soz if im a fool

do i have to instal the benelux map 1st and then add maps after that

Choose Great Britain map and it should install. If you then want to Install say the France map, that's on disc 4. You will find it easier, and quicker, if you can use a card reader when installing maps.

thanx but the cd has only got the benelux map on it and the british map is in a seperate folder and then i transfer it to storage card and shows it in there but still says no maps found and the same with the voices

How many TomTom Cd's have you got and have you a Product Code?

The maps need to be activated. Have they been activated before by someone else?

i downloaded some voices last nite and they worked but i deleted them all of again so i think i need the voices that are in the system like jane english uk and tim english uk dose any1 have them to so i can try it please

If you need files such as the inbuilt voices then you must not have a legal copy of the TomTom disks, do as previously told - go and purchase a true copy of the product then come back and seek advice - no one on here will send files to others such as this - its in contravention of the forum rules - Mike
