When I use SmartST, maps, points of interest to load the file, it only wants to look for a txt file but the download was an asc file. What do I need to do. |

It's Navman iCN520, sofware is version 3 and I am trying to upload the camera information file name pocketgps_uk.asc. Had a similar experience when I tried to load some postcode data and was unable to drag and drop files into MyPOI file and had to use some text files and use the import txt file facility from the SmartST desktop.
When I follow the current instructions listed here it does not recognise the file. I believe this is becasue it is not a text file.
Hope you can help. |

You don't load Custom POIs onto Navmans by dragging and dropping. The Navman POIEditor does recognise .asc files; I use it myself every month.
It may say 'Open text file' but does it also show (*.*) in the Files of type box?
Have you actually unzipped the zipfile before trying to import it? That is the usual problem when the filetype isn't recognised. _________________ Tim |
