I got a Mio P350 recently.
It works really well.
Generaly pleased with it.

BUT... there is one problem: it takes a LONG time to get its first sattelite signal.
After that... it's fine.

I've had a Tomtom navigatior connected via bluetooth before... and the signal pickup was veyr quick - less than a minute from cold start.

I've also tested other peoples GPS units - none have the same delay as the Mio.

The Mio can take 3 minutes sometimes.

My unit is always on the dashboard and in the same place as my Tomtom navigator would be.

What am I doing wrong?
Should I return the item to the place where purchased from...?

Thanks.

I've just bought the P350 too and no problems with TTFF or holding locks.

Look here http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=8 and download WinFast Navigator_CE, the instruction file isjust below it.

You will get a better idea of what's going on. Number of Sats, signal strength etc.

Just make sure that when you've finished with Winfast, you select 'disconnect', don't just Exit or close with the 'X' at top right of screen, otherwise you will get no signals when you go back to TT.
