Problems with GP50P and Tungsten C

I am using the GP50P cable with the serial adapter to connect to my Garmin Etrex. Everything works for the most part. However whenever I plug in the power adapter part to the T|C I get power for the T|C however after unplugging the T|C the software power indicator still thinks its being charged. The only way to fix it is via doing a soft reset. I ONLY see this behavior when using the GP50P cable, if I connect the T|C to my cradle or another Car Charger using the SAME car power adapter I do not have this problem.

any ideas?

I believe you are the same person who wrote to us so it is being dealt with.

Has any other who has the same experience and could give a clue?
