Nuvi 31D + GTM12 Traffic

I'm pretty happy with my Nuvi but I just cant get the traffic thingy to work.
All it ever says is 'No traffic info available' or something like that. I've tried it in various locations around the car and in other places around South Wales (where I live) but whatever I do, it just doesn't work. Is there some trick to get it to work because, right now, I feel like throwing the GTM12 in the bin because that seems to be all it's good for!!

Any help would be appreciated!

My understanding of the traffic receiver is that it only works in areas that provide the service - i.e. large towns. Perhaps your area of Wales hasn't got a service yet?

Not sure about that!
I'm 10 miles form Cardiff which is a pretty big place!

It's supposed to latch onto local radio stations that provide the TMC signam and I know for sure there are at least 2 in my area and I can receive both of them at full strength on the 'normal' car radio. I'll perter Garmin on Monday and see if I can get an answer out of them!
